System Changer Network (SCN) Kenya –

When Communities Lead, Systems Can Change. Build That Future With Us.

System Changer Network (SCN) is a backbone organization — a registered foundation in Kenya with international outreach — that brings local and global actors together to collaborate, learn, and co-create solutions that drive lasting systems change in East Africa, with a core focus on Kenya.

Since 2021, six Kenyan NGOs with a combined reach of over 1 million people have joined forces under SCN. Together, they are moving from fragmented, short‑term projects to connected, needs‑driven solutions that create real, sustainable impact for vulnerable communities — and strengthen their ability to empower themselves.
This is SDG 17 in action: partnerships at every level.

Our belief is simple: Projects might treat symptoms. We need to invest our efforts in strong systems to change lives. For everyone.

Systems can be built by partnering only – on all levels.

We act as system architect. Working directly with communities, we identify what truly matters—what must happen, where, when, and in parallel. And find partners and solutions. We view each region through the full SDG lens: Boldly systemic, Business‑Minded, and deeply Community‑Rooted

Driving Systemic Impact Through Collaboration

SCN ensures community initiatives don’t stand alone.
We connect them into a strong, coherent ecosystem shaped by real community needs — starting with farmers, fishing communities, and residents of informal settlements. From there, we link NGOs across regions to learn, collaborate, and grow stronger together. And globally, we bring in partners like you to help scale what already works into lasting systems change.

For partners, the value is clear:
Companies, social enterprises, universities, and global innovators gain a trusted platform to collaborate, learn, and scale tested solutions. We offer high‑value cross‑sector connections, meaningful engagement opportunities, access to a growing impact ecosystem — and a way to de‑risk your investments by strengthening the system behind them.

We enable continuous learning, solution‑sharing, and replication across regions. We turn fragmented, single‑topic projects into coordinated, high‑impact action rooted in deep local trust. And with the SCN Index, we measure not only results, but also the quality of collaboration and alignment with community needs across the SDGs.

In short:
We shift development from isolated projects to an interconnected network — so communities can build markets, grow resilience, and shape their own future. As the backbone, SCN Kenya makes solutions scalable and truly sustainable
