System Changer Network (SCN) Kenya is a collaborative network of trust, led by 7 local Core NGOs in Central and Western Kenya and a change architect to connect partners at the right place, time and locations. Our partners are from different backgrounds.

  1. Holistic Empowerment Across Regions
We work in both rural and urban areas, tailoring our support to the specific needs of vulnerable communities—considering environment, location, mobility, and more.
  2. Active Solution Sharing
Within SCN and beyond, we exchange proven solutions, materials, and skills. We co-organize events, awareness campaigns, and co-invest in key focus areas.
  3. Ground-Level Collaboration
We partner with media and local ambassadors to ensure authentic storytelling and representation from the communities themselves.
  4. Locally Led, Globally Connected
Our network includes national and international NGOs, social enterprises, academia, private sector partners, and regional institutions like schools, churches, police, and government bodies.
  5. Systems Thinking: Puzzle Piece Approach
We connect solutions like pieces of a puzzle—each one fitting into a broader system at the right time and place to drive sustainable transformation.
  6. From Projects to Ecosystems
Vulnerable communities need more than isolated projects. We support integrated solutions across health, hygiene, education, culture, income generation, infrastructure, and environment.
  7. Empowering for Self-Empowerment
Our goal is to help communities build self-sustaining structures—thinking in networks, partnering across levels, and creating long-term impact.
  8. Impact Measured by Voices, Not Numbers
We listen to what communities feel and say about the change. Their stories and testimonials are our most powerful indicators of success.
  9. Measuring What Truly Matters: Network-Driven Impact At SCN, we go beyond KPIs—because real impact is felt, not just counted. We measure the strength of relationships and how solutions spread through our network, creating ripple effects across regions and sectors. By tracking ecosystem growth and listening to communities, we capture transformation through shared ownership, lived experiences, and the power of connected change. Our metrics include Network density, Shared activities, Cross-partner engagement and an overall SCN index of collaboration.

Understanding the level of scaled solutions

This approach reveals the “connective tissue” that drives sustainable transformation. By measuring collaborationadaptability, and reach, SCN Kenya ensures that innovations are not isolated efforts—but scalable models for holistic community empowerment across many locations.
