Investing in the Infrastructure Behind Scalable Community Impact
While many programs focus on single issues—education, water, climate, health—the Fund invests in SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, the unseen engine that makes all these outcomes possible.
The SCN Kenya Cooperation Network Fund (planned 2026) aims to strengthen the impact infrastructure model that SCN Kenya has successfully started with. It allows local organizations, businesses, and public institutions to collaborate effectively and scale proven solutions across Kenya and beyond.
Now, with first paractical experience, results and learnings, the positive feedback by vulnerable communities, the SCN structure and framework and our network measurements we look for the next phase: Scale SCN Network Kenya across Kenya and beyond.
What the Fund Enables
The Cooperation Network Fund powers the core infrastructure that makes SCN Kenya scalable.
It enables the development of a scalable SCN Playbook—a practical guide with proven methods and case examples that support expansion to new regions and countries. In addition, it helps establish a cross‑country governance framework that ensures coordinated, high‑quality growth of the SCN model.
It finances the design and implementation of shared tools, training modules, and collaboration infrastructure on the SCN membership platform, giving all partners equal access to high‑quality resources (local NGOs, African NGOs, companies, Social enterprises and other intersted stakeholders).
The Fund also drives SCN’s Systems Network Analysis Tools and the SCN Index—measuring partnership quality, solution transfer, knowledge flow, and how regional systems strengthen over time.
To grow the network, the Fund supports documentation and learning, communications and visibility, ensuring more partners know about SCN, understand its value, and can join the ecosystem. It also covers essential project management and travel, enabling coordination, field visits, and cross‑regional learning—because connected systems are built by people working together on the ground.
In short: Your Contributions help
- SCN test, refine, and scale what already works at a smaller scale across counties. We document results openly, facilitate peer learning, and accelerate the spread of effective solutions.
- Your support helps create multi‑partner “activation zones” where communities access multiple layers of support in one system: The Fund builds economic resilience by strengthening cooperatives, producer networks, and value chains—ensuring communities not only gain skills but also access markets and long‑term income structures.
Why This Fund Is Attractive for Businesses, Foundations & Investors
- High leverage: One investment strengthens an entire ecosystem, not just a single project.
- Lower risk: Shared infrastructure and vetted partners improve coordination and quality.
- Scalability: Support flows into regional portfolios designed for replication and growth.
- Measurable systems change: The SCN Systems Index gives donors a clear picture of network performance and cross‑stakeholder value.
- Real community ownership: Investments reinforce locally led structures and long‑term resilience.
The Cooperation Network Fund is your opportunity to help build the infrastructure that makes impact scalable. By investing in SDG 17, you power the partnerships that turn proven ideas into regional transformation.
